Apply for an International Truck Driver Job

Looking for a stable, well-paid truck driving position with the opportunity to travel through Estonia while working internationally?

GOtalent recruits experienced professional drivers for positions based in Lithuania.

You will be employed by a Lithuanian transport company and deliver freight between different European countries, including Estonia.

What You Get

GOtalent connects experienced drivers with Lithuanian transport companies operating international freight routes throughout Europe.

Depending on the vacancy, the position can offer:

  • Secure and reliable long-term employment
  • Opportunities to expand your international driving experience
  • Work with established Lithuanian transport companies
  • Social guarantees and employment benefits
  • Extra payments linked to mileage and performance
  • Assistance when relocating to Lithuania from another country
  • Experience across Baltic, Scandinavian and Western European routes

Lithuania is well positioned for international road transport, with freight corridors extending north towards the Baltic and Scandinavian markets as well as west towards major European logistics centres.

This means drivers can experience a variety of routes and destinations, including possible assignments through Estonia.

Requirements

International freight work requires both professional qualifications and previous experience behind the wheel.

For currently available positions, you should have:

  • A valid CE-category driving licence
  • At least 6 months of international truck driving experience
  • Relevant identification and professional documents

Depending on the specific vacancy and your existing qualifications, you may also need:

  • Code 95 professional qualification
  • Digital tachograph driver card
  • ADR certificate for dangerous or specialised cargo
  • Relevant residence or employment documentation

Experience with refrigerated transport or Western European routes can also be useful for certain vacancies.

You will normally be able to manage everyday work communication with basic English. It is primarily needed for speaking with dispatchers, receiving instructions and coordinating deliveries.

Before you proceed with a vacancy, the recruitment team will review your documents and explain any additional requirements connected with the position.

Where You’ll Drive

Lithuania-based international transport routes can extend throughout the Baltic region, Scandinavia, Central Europe and Western Europe.

Your assignments may take you through countries such as:

  • Estonia
  • Latvia
  • Finland
  • Sweden
  • Poland
  • Germany
  • Denmark
  • The Netherlands
  • Belgium
  • Other European destinations

Estonia can form part of routes connecting the Baltic states with Finland and the wider Scandinavian market. Depending on the assignment, you may pass through the country, collect cargo there or complete a delivery.

The destinations are not identical for every rotation. Routes are determined by freight volumes, customer orders and the Lithuanian transport company’s current logistics planning.

Truck Types

International freight requires different vehicles depending on the cargo and route. Lithuanian transport employers may have vacancies involving several truck and trailer configurations.

Type Used for
Standard Tautliner A common choice for industrial goods, retail shipments, export freight and other general cargo.
Refrigerated Used for food, pharmaceuticals and other products that need controlled temperatures throughout the journey.
BDF – SWAP Swap-body systems commonly used in structured logistics, distribution and parcel freight networks.
Car Transporter Specialised carriers designed to move vehicles between ports, dealerships, factories and logistics centres.
Cistern Suitable for liquid cargo such as fuel, chemicals and food liquids, with additional safety requirements for certain loads.
Flatbed Used to carry machinery, steel, construction materials and oversized or specialised cargo.

Previous experience with particular trucks, trailers or freight categories can make a difference when matching you with a position. Include as much relevant vehicle experience as possible when completing your application so our recruitment team can identify suitable vacancies.
