Requirements

What Does an International Truck Driver Do?
The role combines long-distance driving with responsibility for cargo, documentation, vehicle safety and communication.
Typical tasks include:
- Checking the truck and trailer before starting the journey
- Reviewing route plans and instructions from dispatch
- Making sure freight is loaded and secured correctly
- Driving on both domestic and international roads
- Using a digital tachograph to track driving and rest periods

A typical workload is around 160–190 hours per month. Driving hours, breaks and rest periods are mandated according to the EU regulations.

Salary and Bonuses
Current Lithuania-based international truck driver positions range from €2,850 to €3,350 net per month.
Your final monthly earnings may be influenced by:
- Previous driving experience
- Mileage completed
- International routes assigned
- Type of vehicle and freight
- Overall work performance
Extra payments can also include ECO driving, mileage and loyalty bonuses.
