Requirements

We are looking for experienced truck drivers. 

Prospective candidates need to have: 

  • A valid CE-category driving licence 
  • At least 6 months of international truck driving experience 
  • Relevant professional and identification documents 

Depending on the position and your current qualifications, you may also be expected to have: 

  • Code 95 professional qualification 
  • Digital tachograph driver card 
  • ADR certificate for specialised or dangerous-goods transport 
  • Residence or employment documentation where applicable 

Basic English is usually enough for routine communication with dispatchers, coordinators and logistics teams.

Where You’ll Drive

International freight routes from Lithuania connect drivers with destinations across Northern, Central and Western Europe. 

This is your opportunity to drive through scenic locations in:

Sweden may be included as a transit country, pickup point or delivery destination, depending on the assigned route. 

That said, your assigned destinations will vary according to cargo requirements, customer demand and the transport company’s current logistics schedule. 

Truck Types

Lithuanian transport companies operate modern fleets with a variety of vehicles best suited for routes through Sweden and other countries:

Type Used for
Standard Tautliner A common option for international freight, including general cargo and goods from a variety of industries.
Refrigerated Used to transport food, pharmaceuticals and other temperature-sensitive products that require careful monitoring.
BDF – SWAP Swap-body systems designed for efficient loading and unloading, commonly used in structured distribution and logistics networks.
Car Transporter Specialised carriers used to move new and used vehicles between manufacturers, dealerships and logistics hubs.

What Does an International Truck Driver Do?

Your typical working day may include: 

  • Full pre-trip inspection of vehicle and trailer 
  • Receiving delivery instructions and route plans 
  • Supervising loading and securing cargo 
  • Long-distance and regional driving 
  • Tracking driving/rest times with a digital tachograph 
  • Completing transport paperwork (e.g., CMR, delivery confirmations) 
  • Communicating with dispatch

Working Schedule

Drivers usually work approximately 160–190 hours per month. 

The exact rotation is confirmed before the position is accepted.

Salary and Bonuses

Current Lithuania-based international truck driver positions offer a salary of €2,850–€3,350 net per month.

The final amount can depend on: 

  • Previous professional experience 
  • Mileage 
  • International route assignments 
  • Transport type 
  • Work performance 

You will also earn additional incentives, such as ECO driving, mileage and loyalty bonuses. 

The exact salary and bonus package is confirmed for each individual position during the recruitment process.
